SMS Mac – Installation
The SMS Mac software collection consists of several components. Each component is installed differently. They are all included in your subscription.
SMS Mac Address Book Plug-in
Use the provided installer to install this Address Book plug-in. To remove the plug-in, remove it from this location:
/Library/Address Book Plug-Ins/
Group SMS Plug-in
Use the provided installer to install this Contextual Menu Item (CMI). To remove the plug-in, remove it from this location:
/Library/Contextual Menu Items/
Send SMS Dashboard Widget
Mac OS X 10.4 and up knows how to automatically install a widget after a download. So, to install the Dashboard Widget, just click on the download link for the widget on this download page:
SMS Mac Scripting
The SMS Mac Scripting application can best be placed in the Applications folder at the top level of your hard disk. It does not require any special installation. The SMS Mac Scripting application is a faceless background application.
SMS Vista Sidebar Gadget
Windows Vista and up knows how to automatically install a gadget after a download. So, to install the Vista Sidebar Gadget, just click on the download link for the gadget on this download page:
Yahoo! Widget
Please first download and install the Yahoo! Widget Engine from:
Then download the our Yahoo! Widget from:
You will then have the file Send SMS.widget. Just double click this file to open it in the Yahoo! Widget Engine. On the Mac, it is a good idea to move the Send SMS.widget file to this location:
~/Documents/Widgets/
